Hengineered is an ongoing project focused on designing custom, 3D-printable prosthetic legs for chickens.

Over the past few years, I’ve been exploring how to combine 3D printing, silicone molding, and careful mechanical design to create prosthetics that are comfortable, adjustable, and practical for real animals and real caretakers. Every chicken is different, and my goal is to build designs and processes that respect that—without requiring advanced technical skills to use.
Right now, this work is still hands-on and experimental. I’m actively refining designs, testing new ideas, and thinking carefully about how to turn what I’ve learned into a clear, repeatable process that anyone could follow in the future.
If you have a chicken who might benefit from a prosthetic, I’d love to hear from you. I can’t promise a perfect solution, but I can promise that I’ll take the problem seriously and approach it with care, curiosity, and compassion.
